Baardskeerder cc is a business in the publishing industry that markets maps and travel books


1. Shipping

All orders in stock will be posted by registered post within 2 working days after payment is effected. Goods not in stock will be posted within 7 working days after payment is effected, unless you are otherwise notified.

Order confirmation: When you submit your order to us, you will receive an email confirming that we have received your order and are processing it. You will then receive a second email from us to notify you when your order has been posted, with tracking details.

Please contact us if you do not receive a second email from us within 7 business days confirming posting of your order, or our notification that goods are not in stock.

Posting is done via the SA Post Office, Capricorn Square or Muizenberg. Post and packaging charges inside RSA are automatically recorded with your order. Should you order more than one product they will be posted together.

Should you have not received your order not less than ten days after receiving our second email, please contact us. Please do not contact us before at least ten days have elapsed.

Our office may close periodically for periods of up to three weeks. During such periods orders can be received but not processed; at notice to this effect will appear on our site at such times.

We accept international orders via the internet provided that you first contact us direct by email to establish postal charges.


2. Return and Refunds policy

No claims will be considered if not registered with us by email within 48 hours of receipt.
Correctly supplied goods returned for credit will be subject to a 30% handling charge.
Refunds will be payed by Baardskeerder by direct internet banking, within 14 days of receipt of returned goods. Refunds will only be paid in the event that the goods are returned in exactly the same condition in which they were posted to the customer.

The provision of goods and services by Baardskeerder cc is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Baardskeerder cc will refund the client in full within 30 days. Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a 30 % administration fee.


3. Customer privacy policy

At Baardskeerder we completely respect your privacy. We will never sell, rent or give out your name, email address or personal information to anyone - ever. We understand how frustrating it is to receive unsolicited mail - we receive more than enough such mail ourselves.

Your e-mail address will only be used to communicate with you about your orders placed, unless you personally choose to receive our notifications of new products that are added to our store.

All personal details collected by our data centre will be stored securely and will not be used for any purpose other than that for which the personal information is received.

Should you at any time request to have your personal information removed from our data centre, we will do so immediately.

Baardskeerder cc has strictly adhered to the Statutory Information in the ECT act.

For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). The PAIA may be downloaded from: http://www.polity.org.za/html/govdocs/legislation/2000/act2.pdf


4. Payment options accepted

Payment may be made via Visa, Master Card, Diners or American Express credit cards or by bank transfer into the Baardskeerder cc bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.


5. Credit card acquiring and security

Credit card transactions will be acquired for Baardskeerder cc by PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for Standard Bank of South Africa. PayGate use SSL3 and no credit card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.


6. Customer details separate from card details

Customer details will be stored by Baardskeerder cc separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate's secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za


7. Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is ZAR (South African Rand) only.


8. Responsibility

Baardskeerder cc takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods


9. Country of domicile

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Baardskeerder cc chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, 6 Rooikrantz Road, Lakeside 7945, South Africa


10. Variation

Baardskeerder cc may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
